EQUIPMENT All-steel unitary construction, bi-plane rear wing, polycarbonate lower body mouldings, wheel air deflectors, moulded bumpers with overriders, anti-burst locks, integral driving lamps, heated rear window, electric aerial, Ford ECU1 push button radio, speaker direction control, sports steering wheel, overhead console with map lamps, multifunction digital clock computer, analogue clock, graphic information module, low temperature warning function, stratified heating system. EXTERIOR The sporting yet highly equipped Ford Sierra XR4i boasted an equipment level that matched the luxury Ghia models, and at the time was Ford’s most sporty Sierra prior to the launch of the original Cosworth. Distinctive ‘Six light’ body shells were unique to the XR4i with six panes of side glass with opening rear quarters, a variation to the Four-light shells used in the Cosworth and lesser three door base models. This outstanding example is finished in stunning factory original Ford Black (Code A9), an option specified upon order at a cost of £80.68. A deep glossy shine and uniform finish give this car fantastic presence and real show pleasing appeal. All factory panels are pin straight and the underside is structurally perfect and unspoilt. The sunroof, whilst totally intact and watertight does show mild delamination to the inside glass edges. Perfect XR4i decals and badges proudly stand for power, comfort and sportiness. INTERIOR This superb classic 1980’s Ford interior has been preserved impeccably. The fabric sports seats are trimmed in Oxford Grey (code QP) with matching door cards and colour scheme carpeting. The supportive high comfort seats are spotlessly clean and free from wear, and the upholstered door cards are factory fresh albeit for a tiny nick to the passenger side piece. The carpeted areas are very clean, as is the headlining which shows only very light and minimal discolouration, visible only upon very close scrutiny. The perfect dashboard and fascia is free from cracks and remains absolutely as Ford intended, even down to the factory ECU1 stereo with speaker direction control wand. The multifunction digital clock computer holds date, time and stopwatch functions. Bright red pin-striping to the instrument binnacle, horn push and door cards emphasise the raciness of this perfectly unmolested interior. Ford magic at its best and almost impossible to find this good. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The 2792cc V6 unit closely matched to that of the 2.8 Injection Capri features a Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection system and viscous coupled fan to produce 150 BHP at 5700rpm and 216Nm torque at 6000rpm. Capable of 130mph and 0-60mph in 8.0 seconds, the rapid performance is smooth and quiet whilst producing an unmistakable exhaust burble. A pristine engine bay featuring a correct Motorcraft battery and factory stickers ticks all the boxes for the enthusiast and collector. The 5 speed gearbox is light and progression through the range is precise. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Five aluminium alloy 14 x 5.5in wheels in ‘Pepperpot’ style are in fantastic order with only very light and minimal scratches to the outer rims. The quality Fulda Y2000+ tyres have masses of tread remaining and the spare wheel remains shod in the original Dunlop SP Sport item. Hydraulic dual line brakes with vacuum servo assistance offer ample stopping power and complete assurance. HISTORY FILE Supplied new on 7th December 1983, this example was factory ordered with optional extras to include Ford Black paint (£80.68), central door and tailgate locking (£136.36), electric front windows (£161.41), power steering (£373.34), tilt/slide sunroof (£258.98), tinted glass (£43.08) and trip computer (£204.95), a total of £1,258.80 on top of the vehicle list price of £9,170.00! An original new car sales brochure is included in the history file with a nearly identical feature car - a welcome coincidence! This outstanding example in factory original Mercedes Deep Blue, (Code DB920), boasts a virtually perfect finish that will simply amaze anybody within its presence. The Daimler-Benz quality paint process dictated that each coat was annealed at temperatures between 130 and 165°C, which together with mileage of just 6,212 miles and temperature controlled storage have ensured this example is preserved as one of the best in the world. All trim sections, chromework, lights and badges appear as new, a testament to the maker’s craftsmanship. Unrestored, unmolested and preserved, a worthy museum artefact. The wonderful history file comprises of the original Mercedes-Benz brown plastic wallet containing the service book, handbooks, dealership literature and even the factory build punch card! A further history folder contains the original new car PDI checklist along with many previous MOT certificates and maintenance invoices to verify the low mileage. An original sales brochure, two Mercedes keys and a collection of other vehicle documents complete the history file.

A Virtually Extinct Vauxhall Cavalier Mk2 SRi with Just 37,394 Miles and Two Owners - SOLD!

03:12
SOLD - SIMILAR AWLAYS REQUIRED PLEASE CALL 01733 425140 A virtually extinct Vauxhall Cavalier Mk2 SRi with just 37,394 miles and two owners. EQUIPMENT Laminated windscreen, Bronze tint shadeband, safety crumple zones, rigid passenger safety cell, deep front air spoiler, rear spoiler, burst-proof locks, halogen headlamps, twin rear fog lamps, electric door mirrors, Recaro rally style front seats, upholstered front seat headrests, folding rear seat, rear wash/wipe, Phillips push button stereo cassette, quartz clock, cigar lighter, centre console. SRi special equipment; 2-tone horn, Anthracite coloured mouldings, body-striping, 3-spoke sports steering wheel, carpeted load area, additional sound insulation. Dealer options; Front driving lamps, mud flaps, tailored rubber floor mats. EXTERIOR This incredibly rare Vauxhall Cavalier Mk2 SRi was once a common sight on UK roads but now represents a hugely nostalgic piece of sporting Vauxhall history. This early SRi on an A prefix in Hatchback guise is finished in White Gold/Anthracite (code E421 & 303), a two tone paint scheme unique to the SRi model. The paintwork presents very well with a bright polished shine, however, areas of paint rectification undertaken by the previous keeper although not unsightly are not to professional standards. All factory panels are straight apart from one with a small ding and inspection of the underside reveals the structural integrity. Factory stampings are clearly visible along the inner boot shuts. All glass, lights, badges and trim sections are in fantastic order and this totally unmolested example even retains its supplying dealer plates and rear screen sticker! Hugely sentimental to many individuals who owned examples in the 1980’s. INTERIOR A clean, functional and retro Vauxhall interior is sure to delight fans of the Griffin badged cars! The original Highland Check cloth trim in beige colour scheme is incredible and every inch commensurate with the cars low mileage credentials. The upholstery is clean with only very minimal wear to the sporting Recaro driver’s seat. The matching colour scheme door cards and headlining are pristine and the carpets are beautifully preserved having been protected from new by tailored Vauxhall rubber floor mats. All functions and controls operate perfectly including the Phillips push button mono stereo cassette. The dashboard and internal trim pieces are exceptional with no cracks or damage whatsoever and the rear parcel shelf is free from speaker cut outs. Prominent natural veins to the steering wheel and gearknob are an obvious trait of such a low mileage example. A true time warp interior complete with period scent, worthy of any show stand. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION This top of the range for performance SRi model features the powerful 1800i OHC four cylinder engine developing 115bhp at 5800rpm and 111.4lb/ft of torque at 4800rpm. A top speed of 114.2mph and 0-60 in 9.4 seconds affirmed this Cavalier as a real performance contender within its sector. The engine bay is clean, unaltered and displays factory plates and stickers. The five speed all syncromesh gearbox with 8.5in diameter mechanical clutch feels light, precise and tight. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Five factory standard 5½ J sports alloy wheels are hugely retro and the black infill sections remain correct. Whilst presentable, the finish to the wheels is average owing to amateur attempts at refurbishment. Branded 195/60 R14 low profile tyres are of the correct size and have plenty of tread remaining. Diagonally split dual circuit brakes with servo assistance feature 9.3in ventilated front discs and 7.9in rear drums to bring the car to a steady and assured halt. HISTORY FILE Registered new by Vauxhall Main Dealers Charles Warner Ltd in Lincoln on the 8th June 1984 to first keeper, Mr Francis Harsley, who kept the car for over 25 years until the second and only other keeper, Mr Armstrong, purchased the vehicle to add to his classic car collection. A mere 37,394 miles has been covered and the original service booklet contains several Vauxhall Main Dealer stamped entries up to 1997 whereby the first keeper ceased driving due to old age. This service work was carried out predominantly by the supplying dealer. A folder of previous MOT certificates and invoices cover the period with the second keeper after the car was recommissioned immediately on purchase in 2009 when the car had covered 36,429 miles. With little use since, it would be prudent to complete a full service if regular use is intended. The original Vauxhall plastic A5 wallet contains all book packs, radio guides and dealership literature. A very real and formidable Sierra contender throughout the 1980’s, the Mk2 Cavalier particularly in SRi guise has survived in far fewer numbers and now represents a very special and rare modern classic car. MOT July 2017, HPI Clear.

A service using genuine Renault parts has just been carried out. The optional 3-speed automatic transmission changes gear smoothly and offers a very capable and lively drive, typical of a lightweight French car. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Four aerodynamic wheel stylers are unmarked with the Renault logo and incredibly still shod in the factory tubeless Michelin XZX 155 SP13 tyres. Even the Volvo boot organiser attached to the inner rear slam panel remains with the car! The interior condition is commensurate with a 1986 Volvo showroom example and the term ‘timewarp’ is absolutely warranted. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The almost indestructible Volvo B230K four in-line cylinder engine displaces 2316cc and produces 117bhp at 5200rpm and 194Nm torque at 2500rpm. Maintained without compromise, the engine is beautifully quiet and smooth with faultless performance. The five speed M47 gearbox is reassuringly solid and precise and delivers effortless changes throughout the range. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Five unrestored original pressed steel rims are in pristine order and the complimenting chrome centre caps and outer embellishers are perfect. Quality Continental ContiEcoContact 185/70 R14 tyres all round have excellent tread remaining. The spare wheel still wears the original Michelin item which appears almost unused. HISTORY FILE Registered new on 1 September 1986 by Volvo Main Dealers Dee Motors Ltd of Chester, the previous keeper Mr William has owned this 740 since September 1990 with just one previous owner before him. The very same supplying Volvo Main Dealer renamed as Drayton Motors of Chester sold the car twice and a used vehicle sales invoice illustrates a purchase price of £6,600 at four years old. Mr Williams, a Mechanical Engineer by trade, was fanatical in his approach to care and maintenance of his beloved Volvo, and the condition today is the ultimate testament to this. An avid Volvo Owners and Caravan Club member, he used the vehicle for family holidays and post retirement holidays. The history file further consists of the original service record book fully stamped up to 42,300 miles with Mr Williams carrying out professional and fastidious maintenance himself thereafter. The original blue A5 Volvo wallet contains every handbook, operating guide and point of sale literature, and a separate folder contains invoices and MOT certificates. An original sales brochure, Volvo towing guide and three sets of keys complete the history file. Thinking of selling? SOLD - SIMILAR ALWAYS REQUIRED PLEASE CALL 01733 425140 Thinking of selling? Our proven commission sale or SOR (Sale or Return) program is a great way to utilise and access our professional services and facilities while still maximising the return from your vehicle with minimal hassle, stress and time, If you’d like to take advantage of this then please get in touch for further information. Alternatively If you’d like to move your vehicle on quickly and efficiently with minimal delay then we can make an offer on an outright purchase basis with payment and collection arranged soon after. A magnifique Phase 1 Renault 9 TLE with an incredible 8,844 miles from new. EQUIPMENT Aerodynamic wrap-around polyester bumpers, rubberised side mouldings, rubberised rear spoiler, progressive collapse zones, reclining front seats, arc adjustment of front seats, Kienzle quartz clock, engine oil level indicator, rev counter, rheostat, fuel level warning light. Dealer accessories; Renault Boutique Alloy wheels, front fog lamps, mud flaps. EXTERIOR This delightful and super chic Renault 9 is finished in the original colour of Black, (Code 694) and is a very rare surviving Phase 1 model. European Car of the Year in 1982, this example has covered just 8,884 miles from new having been won in a Renault ‘Fit the Piece’ National Draw in 1982! Preserved in long term storage, the structural condition is superb and whilst presentable there is evidence of less than perfect paintwork rectification and amateur touch ups, carried out due to sun damage where the car lived for many years. All trim pieces are intact and well preserved with only light aging to the rear spoiler noteworthy. This high specification TLE model is sure to delight fans of the diamond badged French manufacturer! INTERIOR The interior of this well specified TLE model is in excellent condition. The velour upholstery in Sand colour scheme is immensely comfortable, a classic characteristic of Renault and unworn owing to the ultra-low mileage. Again there is mild evidence of sun fading to the plastics and carpets, but this does not detract from the overall condition. There is a small stain underneath the driver’s floor mat. All functions and controls operate well including the quirky Renault cylindrical engine oil level indicator. Natural veins to the unworn steering wheel and gear knob are prominent and the typically fragile Renault plastics have avoided the usual damage associated with regular use. A traditional 1980’s Renault lounge interior. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION Fitted with the 1397cc 4 cylinder engine with integral electronic ignition, a power output of 60bhp at 5,250rpm is achieved, enough to reach 94mph. A clean and unmolested engine compartment displays all the manufacturer plates and stickers with paint code markings as well as red PDI dots visible to the strut tops. The five speed all synchro gearbox, standard on the TLE models, offers a relaxed cruising manner in comparison to lesser models and this example feels tight and precise. A very capable and lively drive, typical of a lightweight French car! WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Dealership optional alloys wheels from the Renault Boutique range were specified as an upgrade along with mud flaps. The intricate design to the attractive wheels has been very well protected and all four tyres are matching 175/70 R13 with plenty of tread remaining. Hydraulic twin circuit brakes incorporate servo assistance, discs up front and rear drums to offer adequate stopping power. HISTORY FILE Registered new on the 20th October 1982, this example was won as a brand new car by the first owner through the ‘Fit the Piece’ National Draw and was presented by Renault National Promotions Manager Peter Widdecombe at the Renault UK Leeds Branch. The ingenious competition involved sending a key to customers to then visit their local Renault dealership, and if the key fitted a car they became winners of it! The first owner, although no doubt delighted with their good fortune did not require the car and it was laid up for many years. In 2010 Renault Classic Car Club member, John Bradshaw, knew of the vehicle and tracked it down knowing it to be arguably the lowest mileage example in the country. He purchased the car adding it to an extensive collection but not finding the time to put it on the road. Fellow club member and Club Registrar, Richard Newton Birchenough, purchased the car next and sourced obscure trim pieces and fully recommissioned it. Joining no less than four Renault 18s including a very rare TL estate the difficult decision was made and the car was sold to concentrate on the 18s. The history file contains the original Renault plastic wallet with handbooks, guides and pamphlets as well as club literature, an original sourced sales brochure and workshop manual. This rare surviving Renault 9, seldom seen on UK roads, will suit any Renault enthusiast or collector of quirky classics.

The virtually spotless factory panels are completely free from corrosion or damage, as is the underside having been protected from new with rust proofing treatment. This unmolested showpiece displays the supplying dealer number plates and the optional acrylic headlamp covers fitted from new. The trim sections are excellent aside from small hairline cracks to the C-pillar covers. Any Montego is now a rare survivor, this example is almost beyond comprehension! INTERIOR A pristine, unaltered and period interior is sure to delight and amaze fans of Austin Rover cars. The original Zenith Cloth trim in Flint, (Code LCG), remains unworn with absolutely no damage whatsoever. The engine bay is beautifully clean, unaltered and displays factory panel stampings, plates and even fragile stickers. The five speed transmission is light, smooth and effortless. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The standard 14in wheels wear the original and correct 1.6LX specification hubcaps in perfect order, un-badged as specified by Rover. The 185/65 R14 tyres have good tread remaining and the original Goodyear tyre remains fitted and unused to the spare wheel. Diagonally split dual circuit brakes with servo assistance and front discs bring the car up straight and steady. HISTORY FILE Registered new by the Rover Group MCP Department as a company vehicle on the 20th June 1991, the first and only private keeper purchased the car when it was just ten months old on the 23rd April 1992. Rover Main Dealer, Henlys of Northampton, supplied the vehicle to Miss Zoe Waterfield after she specified particularly that she wanted a Flame Red Montego with electric windows, sunroof and central locking! To say that Miss Waterfield is renowned and respected within the Austin-Rover community is a huge understatement, and her dedication to her beloved brand knows no limits with countless visits to Longbridge and even actively protesting the BMW takeover of Rover in January 1994. Her fanatical following even earned her rare and confidential items such as Top Secret ‘Introducing the Austin’ and Pocket Guides held by Austin Rover Sales staff only, all retained in the Henlys wallet alongside the original stamped service booklet, handbooks and dealership literature. Despite the low mileage of just 48,365 and the car being stored throughout each winter, the beautifully presented and chronological history folder is simply huge. Furthermore, there are articles, club membership literature, photographs and awards as well as three sets of keys including the grey master. An unmissable opportunity to acquire one of the best, unmolested and original Montego’s in existence

Finished in its factory coating of Cargo Blue (code DOM), the paintwork boasts a deep polished shine. The underside is clean and free from excess underseal to allow inspection to reveal just how well preserved this example is. Original features such as the supplying dealer number plates, mud flaps and rear screen sticker remain fitted. Having covered a mere 15,525 miles and used as a florist’s delivery van, this surely has to be the most privileged and cossetted Rascal in existence! ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The simple and robust four cylinder 970cc engine develops 45bhp to achieve a top speed of 73mph. This wonderful little engine offers simplicity and economy with both seats easily tilted to allow complete access to the engine compartment which is spotlessly clean with all stickers and plates intact, and even the yellow PDI dots on the strut top bolts remain. The original jack and wheel brace are correctly stored in the engine compartment. The five speed gearbox is light and precise. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The standard 4B x 12 steel wheels in factory light grey are remarkable. Manufacturer stampings are clearly defined on these unrestored rims and only minor age related markings can be seen, left untreated to retain originality. Five matching branded 155 R12C reinforced tyres have masses of tread remaining. Dual circuit servo assisted brakes feature 215mm front discs and 220mm rear drums. HISTORY FILE Supplied new by GM Bedford Main Dealers, Welch Van and Trucks of Bristol, this example was registered new on 1st September 1989 to first owner Mr Ivor Wheeler. He kept the vehicle until June 1993 when the second and only other keeper Mrs Betty Hawkins took ownership where it has remained ever since. It has been used as a florist’s delivery vehicle and photos in the history file show the van loaded up with its lightweight flowery cargo! Unusual for such a low mileage example, the history file is very comprehensive with the original service booklet displaying eight stamped entries, the most recent including a cambelt change with supporting invoice. Furthermore, absolutely every MOT from the first to present has been kept to fully document the amazingly low 15,525 miles, along with a large collection of invoices. The original vehicle literature wallet houses all handbook, supplements and radio guide. Completing the history file is two sets of keys with supplying dealer fob. HPI Clear.

Mr Smith, exhausted with searching agreed to all works and the end result is stunning. Perfectionists and VW purists will enjoy pointing out all the factory stickers, tags and labels often lost within the cars first few weeks of usage. Engine detail is factory fresh. A bold statement, but possibly the best Volkswagen Beetle available. INTERIOR The rich interior of this very rare Beetle offers unique blue special leather grained seating with plush corduroy insets. Matching thick, colour-coordinated carpeting and a rosewood dash are further luxury distinguishing features along with a leather grained steering wheel. The famous VW smell is still there. The instruction sticker on the steering wheel is still intact. The driver's seat base has a repair during its time in a Volkswagen Main Dealer. The under bonnet cardboard liner is simply remarkable. Time warp is a term used freely, but completely justified with this collectable unique vehicle ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The air-cooled rear mounted horizontally opposed engine produces 48bhp from its 1584cc displacement enabling a top speed of 84mph. La Grande Bug was one of the first Super Beetles to have electronic fuel injection fitted as standard enabling wonderfully smooth performance and 33mpg. HISTORY FILE The story of this example begins in the Williams VW Dealership, Lancing, Michigan in the USA when proprietor, Mr Williams, took delivery of this limited edition La Grande Bug. Realising that this was something very special with amenities not customarily found in a Bug it was held back from sale to keep for his children to use when they went off to college. However, VW introduced newer models with better safety features so a Golf was the chosen mode of transport. Mr Williams kept the vehicle in one of his VW Showrooms all the way up until retirement in 2010 when a renowned UK VW collector, Mr Willcock, found out about it. Knowing that a 242-mile 1970’s VW Beetle is not something that comes up for sale too often, especially not one that is a limited edition like this, he jumped on it! Last sold by KGF Classic Cars in July 2014 we are delighted to offer this vehicle to market again. A collection of magazine features, coveted Meguiars trophy from the Classic Motor Show appearance, and all importation/duty paid paperwork are included. The vehicle has never been registered. Original literature including handbooks and sales brochures are included.

The Very Last Last Edition VW Beetle. Number 300/300 with Incredible History - SOLD!

02:51
SORRY NOW SOLD - SIMILAR WANTED The very last Last Edition VW Beetle. Number 300/300 with incredible history. MODEL HISTORY In the autumn of 1977, Volkswagen made the momentous decision to stop European production of the Beetle. As a result, Volkswagen UK chose to mark the occasion by ordering 300 of its quota of '78 model Beetles in Diamond Silver Metallic, this being a colour not previously available on a UK Beetle. It then distributed them in very small numbers among each of the various UK-based dealerships. Each distributed with a dashboard plaque inscribed ‘This is one of the last Volkswagen Beetles to be produced for the United Kingdom.’ Our car is 300 of 300 and the very last of the Last Edition Beetles to roll out of the Emden plant for the UK market. Last Edition Beetle No.1 is owned by Volkswagen and is registered VWW1. EXTERIOR Finished in unique Last Edition Diamond Silver metallic paint (Code L97A), this historically important example looks stunning. All the factory panels are original along with lighting, trim and glass. The chrome bumpers have a mirror finish with only the faintest pitting to the door handles. A period Beetle Bouncer perspex stone guard is affixed to the front bumper and can be removed with no damage. The underside is factory original and there is minor bubbling to the N/S/F headlamp cowl and two small areas along the seam of the same wing. In the summer of 2003 the vehicle had tree sap damage and remedial paint work was carried out under insurance by Jenkins & Pain of Whitfield. This is a stunning car and quite simply, irreplaceable. INTERIOR The Marine Blue velour seats front and rear have, until recently, been protected by seat covers which are still with the car so have survived very well. The rubber flooring has, again, been protected by carpeting and reveals the owners awareness of preservation and protection of such a historical important car. A very functional without being ornate interior is well made and all switches, lighting and instrumentation are operational. The unique Last Edition plaque inscribed 300/300 is still in the presentation case and has never been attached the glovebox. Very special. ENGINE & TRANSMISSION The air-cooled rear mounted engine produces 34bhp from its 1192cc displacement and operates with excellence thanks to meticulous main dealer servicing. Engine number D1422283 is factory correct and the fully synchronised 4-speed gearbox works perfectly offering light and precise gear changes. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES Pressed steel wheels are dressed in immaculate chrome half wheel covers and shod in factory original Firestone 155 R15T tubeless tyres. The spare is unused and still has manufacture tyre stickers attached. Dual circuit drums front and rear operate well offering adequate stopping power. HISTORY FILE Truly captivating and most fitting for such a historically important vehicle. In 1978 Guy Sinden, a Volkswagen (GB) Director is photographed handing over the keys of the last new Beetle made for Britain to Colin W. Cudlipp, the Chief Executive of BEN – (Motor and Allied Trades Benevolent Fund). Substantial offers to buy this collectable vehicle were rejected by Volkswagen in favour of raising money for this charity as a first prize in a raffle. The handover photo is included in the history file as are the black metal display plates made by VW and as seen in this early photo. The raffle was won by a Yeovil couple, Ernest and Jean Rogers, which according to a newspaper cutting at the time ‘came as a real surprise’ as it was the first prize they had ever won! Hailed as the Beetle bought for £1 it was kept by the couple unused and in careful storage until 1986 when it was advertised for sale in the May ’86 Thoroughbred & Classic Car magazine, of which a copy is included in the history file. Spotted by VW enthusiast, Graham Bradley, a detailed account of his purchase and ownership is beautifully published in the April 2004 VW Motoring Magazine to which a copy is included in the history file. Kept in his procession for some 25 years averaging 1,000 miles per annum and serviced annually with oil changes every 500 miles as witnessed by the huge collection of main dealer invoices in the history file. During his use carpet mats and seat covers were used to protect the originals and these are removed but included in the sale. Previous MOT history from the first in 1986 leave no doubt to the miles covered and a collection of tax discs stuck in date order are also included. Sold to the final custodian, Mr Jenkins, having now covered just 28,116 miles from new who considers the vehicle to important to use hence the regretful sale. An incredible box file of history which comprises of magazine features, photos, invoices and emails from the Last Edition Registrar stating ‘this is the highest chassis number that we know of!’ MOT July 2015, HPI Clear, two sets of keys.

03:45
**NOW SOLD - SIMILAR CLASSIC CARS ALWAYS REQUIRED** A rare one owner Seat Fura 900/L (Fiat 127) with just 7,993 miles from new. EQUIPMENT Laminated windscreen, absorbent elastic fenders, collapsible steering column, two speed windscreen wipers, headlamp adjustment under bonnet, Mylar flashing, side mouldings, hubcaps, rear view mirror with night drive, cigar lighter, parcel shelf, two speed ventilator, opening front quarter windows, courtesy lamp, dashboard shelf, soft material steering wheel, shelf on propeller shaft tunnel, trip counter, warning gauges, handgrips in roof. EXTERIOR This miraculously well preserved Seat Fura is presented in completely unrestored original condition. The factory original Bianco Corfu paintwork (code 224) is remarkably bright and boasts a pure uniform finish. A few small touched in stone chips have been attended to by the only owner in a novice fashion, most notably on the bonnet do not spoil the quaint appeal of this quirky little car. A lifetime in Spain at the owners retirement home has allowed this cherished example to remain completely factory fresh, even under the arches. The grey bumpers and trims sections are perfectly intact and free from damage or scuff marks, and the correct badges and 'Fura' decals are immaculate and exactly as the manufacturer intended. The Spanish supplying dealer sticker remains in the rear screen. An immensely rare vehicle in wonderful preserved order. INTERIOR The comfortable and functional interior of this brilliant example is incredible. The seats upholstered in Nevada Beige Fabric are pristine and have remained completely free from wear. The seat structure and padding is perfect and the fabric has no tears or rips whatsoever. The front seats having been covered from new show slightly more colour than the rear bench, where only minor fading can be seen upon close inspection. Matching door cards and colour scheme carpets remain in pristine order, with even the factory protective plastic covering to the carpets remaining visible in some areas! The headlining whilst intact has become unseated towards the front screen. All instruments housed in the perfect soft finish dash operate seamlessly. Even the cigar lighter is unused, providing just a small insight to the original owner's care and little use of his beloved Seat! ENGINE & TRANSMISSION Sharing almost all mechanical components with its Fiat 127 sister car, the water cooled single camshaft engine of 903cc displacement produces 40hp at 5,800 rpm and 63Nm of torque at 3000rpm allowing a top speed of 80mph and 0-60mph in a fairly spritely 19.6 seconds!. The engine promptly bursts into life upon the first turn of the key and is whisper quiet. The 4-speed gearbox with synchromesh on all gears is light and changes are pleasingly direct. All mechanical equipment, having been fully recommisoned as a precaution is characteristic of the wonderfully low mileage covered. An absolute delight. WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES The factory original unrestored pressed steel wheels still clearly present the manufacturer stamps and numbers, the definition of which is often lost upon refurbishment. The immaculate hubcaps remain fitted and wheels are shod in brand new 135/80 R13 tyres. The twin circuit hydraulic braking system incorporates discs up front and rear drums to offer ample stopping power and safety assurance. HISTORY FILE This tremendous example was registered new in Torre Del Mar, Spain on 22 December 1982 to the first and only ever keeper, expatriate Mr Thomas Koeller. Mr and Mrs Koeller kept the vehicle at their retirement residence and have been unfaltering in the care and maintenance of this fascinating well preserved car. The history file contains many Spanish documents and official papers. Upon Mr Koellers passing in 2013, his son Mr Peter Koeller rather than risk the cars uncertain fate made the necessary shipping arrangements to the UK. Prior to shipping, the car went to the local Seat dealer for a full check over. Upon receiving the car in the UK and following UK registration, Mr Koeller Junior embarked upon a full service and renewal of maintenance components to ensure complete readiness for regular use, and even completed an event free five hour trip to visit family! V5 registration document and an original sales brochure complete the history file. This fantastic vehicle is the epitome of the 'dare to be different' classic car movement and poses huge appeal for the collector. Simple mechanics and excellent shared parts availability with its Fiat counterpart offers reliable and frugal classic motoring, and an undoubted show pleasing appeal. MOT October 2014, HPI Clear

This log covers 46 pages of hand written entries up to 78,687 miles and the mileage is now 84,307. The condition, without exception, reflects a cossetted ownership partly revealed by the diary and in the perfect originality of the car itself. In the care of some very high profile Ford collectors since and now ready for the next custodian. A SEM wallet containing all the Ford handbooks remains with the car. Two sets of Ford keys, with the metal key tag number, fits all locks and the ignition. Representing a fantastic element of Ford’s historic sporting pedigree, this hugely collectable model has become virtually impossible to source in such an unmolested, preserved and original condition. HISTORY FILE First registered on the 16th May 1960 and bought brand new by Mr William Berry from authorised Ford Dealers, Rumsey Limited in Bristol. Cherished by him for 21 years until the second and only other custodian, Paul Guinness (now a well-known classic car journalist) purchased the vehicle in June 1981, as Mr Berry ‘upgraded’ to a new Fiesta. Paul was just 16 at the time. The car had covered 56,000 miles at that point and the current low mileage of 69,210 has been reached during the 33 years that Paul has owned the car. Although Paul learned to drive in this Anglia as soon as he passed his test he bought another Anglia for everyday use this example was used only sparingly for shows and club meetings. Paul co-founded the Ford Anglia 105E Owners’ Club in 1982 where this car was a regular exhibit on the NEC club stand. The car was kept on the road during the summer months through to 2005 when Paul decided that in 2013 it should undergo a full strip-down and rebuild to make it one of the world’s best examples. Undoubtedly whoever buys it now will be getting the best-presented Anglia of its type, its restoration having cost more than three times the asking price alone. The car comes complete with a professionally made plaque display board showing some of the events it attended in the 1980s, as well as a ‘silver’ plate that it won at a MkI Cortina OC event for Best Visitor’s Car. Supplied are the original framed sales invoice, a host of old tax discs, plus a selection of original Anglia brochures, a parts book and much more. An amazing opportunity.
