After Segar's death in 1938, Thimble Theatre was continued by several writers and artists, most notably Segar's assistant Bud Sagendorf. The strip continues to appear in first-run installments in its Sunday edition, written and drawn by Hy Eisman. The daily strips are reprints of old Sagendorf stories.[4] In 1933, Max Fleischer adapted the Thimble Theatre characters into a series of Popeye the Sailor theatrical cartoon shorts for Paramount Pictures. These cartoons proved to be among the most popular of the 1930s, and Fleischer—and later Paramount's own Famous Studios—continued production through 1957. These cartoon shorts are now owned by Turner Entertainment and distributed by its sister company Warner Bros..[6] Over the years, Popeye has also appeared in comic books, television cartoons, arcade and video games, hundreds of advertisements,[4] and peripheral products (ranging from spinach to candy cigarettes), and the 1980 live-action film directed by Robert Altman, starring comedian Robin Williams as Popeye. In an interview, Charles Schulz said "Popeye was a great favorite of mine...I think Popeye was a perfect comic strip, consistent in drawing and humor".[7] In 2002, TV Guide ranked Popeye #20 on its "50 Greatest Cartoon Characters of All Time" list

Sinbad the Sailor & The Adventures of Robin Hood - English Fairy Tales - Cartoon Animation

21:32
Sinbad the Sailor & The Adventures of Robin Hood - English Fairy Tales - Cartoon Animation Sindbad was a merchant’s son who travelled to many distant lands buying and selling goods. On one of the many voyages, the merchant ship stopped at a beautiful, tree-covered island where Sindbad decided to take a nap. When he awoke he discovered that the ship had set sail without him! Looking for a way to get off the island he saw a large white dome. Just then a huge shadow fell over him. Looking up Sindbad saw a huge bird, called a Roc, and he realised that the white dome was actually the bird’s egg. A brilliant idea came to him. “Let me tie myself to this bird’s legs!” he thought. “Then, I can leave this island.” At daybreak when the Roc flew away over the sea, it carried Sindbad too. When it touched down Sindbad untied himself quickly before the Roc flew off again. He found himself in a valley full of diamonds, surrounded by steep mountains. Large serpents hid from the Roc in caves during the day and came out at night. “Thud! Thud!!” Sindbad saw big chunks of meat landing on the valley floor. Merchants who wanted the diamonds were throwing themdown from the ridges. They waited for the eagles to pick up the chunks of meat with the diamonds stuck on them, and take them to their nests from where the merchants would get the diamonds. Sindbad tied a piece of meat to himself. An eagle picked him up and carried him to its nest and in this way Sindbad escaped from the Valley of Diamonds. The story begins with Robin Hood, who is on his way to an archery contest, but accidentally kills one of the sheriff's officers. This causes Robin to live a life of being an outlaw. The Sheriff vows to catch Robin Hood for his crimes and in each of the three stories he tries to. In the first story, he sent a Tinker to serve papers to Robin; however, Robin gives the Tinker a strong drink that makes him sleepy and steals the papers. In the second story, the Sheriff holds an archery match in Nottingham, hoping to lure Robin. However, Robin comes in disguise, wins the first prize, and leaves the Sheriff a note. Later, the Sheriff captures Will Stutely and announces that he will be hanged for his crimes. However, Little John (another outlaw) postpones the execution just so Robin and his men could save Will. Robin returns to Nottingham with a disguise, a meat cart, and sets up both next to the Guild Hall, where he was invited to a feast by the Sheriff. Robin then sells the Sheriff a deer instead of the cattle, which is what he thought was going to eat. In the third story, the King steps up and hires a thief, Guy of Guisbourne to kill Robin Hood. However, Robin Hood wins the confrontation, but later gets a fever. Robin hides in his cousin, Prioress of the Nunnery of Kirklees, home for treatment. However, his cousin betrays and kills Robin. LOONEY TUNES (Looney Toons): I Wanna Be a Sailor (1937) (Remastered) (HD 1080p)

07:10
I Wanna Be a Sailor is a 1937 Merrie Melodies cartoon directed by Tex Avery. Plot A mother parrot is teaching her children to say, "Polly want a cracker". The first two kids, Patrick and Patricia, do so after some effort, but Peter doesn't want to say cracker, he wants to be a sailor like his dad. His mother refuses, telling him that his dad had really set sail for Catalina, after he and the others were born. Peter is not impressed and runs off. He takes a barrel and joins forces with a rather annoying duck, and the two set sail on the lake. They eventually find trouble in a thunderstorm, and Peter calls his "Momma". She comes running, but he is already saved by the duck, despite it all he still wants to be a sailor. Trivia The duck in this cartoon is theorized by some people as being the same duck that appeared in the cartoons It's an Ill Wind, Porky's Hotel, and She Was an Acrobat's Daughter. The voice of Peter Parrot was done by prolific child actor Robert "Bobby" Winckler, who had worked in over 80 films and over 200 radio shows with most of the stars of the Golden Age of Hollywood. His IMDB page is listed under his often credited name Robert Winkler. 8thManDVD.com and all content © 2015 ComedyMX LLC. All rights reserved. Unauthorized use is prohibited. The looney tunes (commonly mistaken as Looney Toons) series features characters such as bugs bunny, daffy duck & porky pig. Sailor Hernandez shampoo (collab animation for school project)

WEEEEEE LOL ITS DONE! This animation was made for a school project, and it was animated by many and CrispyDraws Please check out her channel, she is awesome! - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDDu6bBM7Jh3PNMrUI5mU9A We tried to make our art styles look similar, so you can't really tell that it was animated by 2 people. Idk, I think you can still tell there are 2 different art styles, but we did pretty good xd The goal of our project was to create an advertisement for a product. The directions said that we had to record it, but because me and Crispy like to draw, we asked our teacher if we could make an animation instead. And our product is shampoo with our teacher as sailor moon character (there is a back story to why he is sailor moon xd) So basically Animation is by me and Crispy Narrator voice is by a third person in our group The guy with "I love anime" shirt was voiced by my other classmate The girl with pink room was voiced by DemoncableTV, make sure to check her out to! - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCH1N2ah-W8zw9AbPt075Znw And the doggo belongs to Crispy UwU (no offence to other groups I ever worked with, but this group was the best to work with because no one argued and everything went smooth 👌) We were rushing so much, at first we had only 3 days to animate this. But luckily, our teacher gave us time until today, so we had 6 days instead. I was scared that we won't finish in time. Also my teacher allowed me animate during class when we had time to work on this project. It felt kinda awkward, just pulling out my tablet and draw on it in class xd Ok now some information that you probably want to know Everything was animated in flipaclip I drew the backgrounds in medibang I did I little bit of editing in powerdirector (the rotation transitions between scenes) Background music - https://youtu.be/pinbZB7-t9Y Here are places where you can find more of my art, and also talk to me (I talk only on discord server, and on KC amino in a group chat) Also I might do commissions on furry amino My discord server: https://discord.gg/qFuz59K My Instagram: @cocoasanimations Me on furry amino: http://aminoapps.com/p/l4vzjr Me on Kitten Cloudy amino: http://aminoapps.com/p/rhqbsl

How 90s Cartoons Handled LGBT Stuff (King of the Hill, Robot Jones, Sailor Moon, Mission Hill)

30:59
if you'd like to support my work, consider pitching in at https://www.patreon.com/jacksaint (https://ko-fi.com/lackingsaint for one-time donations) like ⭐ subscribe ⭐ hit the bell A follow-up to The Truth About 90s Cartoons And "LGBT Brainwashing" https://youtu.be/L--Fa8_ujBA I got a lot of comments last time around about a few shows I may have missed out on - so let's fix that! At least, somewhat. A round-up of LGBT fun for the whole family. DISCLAIMER: In the process of making this video, I've received increasing concerns about the use of the term 'queer' in the last entry - while I had no pushback from LGBT folks I'd talked to beforehand, a few viewers have voiced their discomfort so in future I'm going to avoid using the word. The character first appeared in the daily King Features comic strip Thimble Theatre on January 17, 1929, and Popeye became the strip's title in later years. Popeye has also appeared in theatrical and television animated cartoons. Segar's Thimble Theatre strip was in its 10th year when Popeye made his debut, but the one-eyed (left) sailor quickly became the main focus of the strip, and Thimble Theatre became one of King Features' most popular properties during the 1930s. After Segar's death in 1938, Thimble Theatre was continued by several writers and artists, most notably Segar's assistant Bud Sagendorf. The strip continues to appear in first-run installments in its Sunday edition, written and drawn by Hy Eisman. The daily strips are reprints of old Sagendorf stories. In 1933, Max Fleischer adapted the Thimble Theatre characters into a series of Popeye the Sailor theatrical cartoon shorts for Paramount Pictures. These cartoons proved to be among the most popular of the 1930s, and Fleischer—and later Paramount's own Famous Studios—continued production through 1957. These cartoon shorts are now owned by Turner Entertainment and distributed by its sister company Warner Bros. Over the years, Popeye has also appeared in comic books, television cartoons, arcade and video games, hundreds of advertisements, peripheral products ranging from spinach to candy cigarettes, and the 1980 live-action film directed by Robert Altman and starring Robin Williams as Popeye. Charles M. Schulz said, "I think Popeye was a perfect comic strip, consistent in drawing and humor". In 2002, TV Guide ranked Popeye number 20 on its "50 Greatest Cartoon Characters of All Time" list. “Classic Comedy Channel and all content © 2018 ComedyMX Inc. All rights reserved. Popeye The Sailor Man Cartoon - Fright To The Finish Halloween 1954

06:21
Old Popeye Halloween Cartoon. It is Halloween night and Olive is reading ghost stories to Popeye and Bluto. Both of the men want to have alone time with Olive, with Popeye wondering why Bluto hasn't gone home and Bluto wondering what to do to get rid of Popeye. Bluto decides to stage various pranks (a headless man, an animated skeleton, and a sheet-over-balloon ghost) to scare Olive and Popeye. He pins the blame on Popeye, Olive kicks him out of her house, and Bluto goes to comfort her. Popeye gets back at Bluto by going into Olive's bedroom through her window (which was still open) and uses a jar of vanishing cream to make himself invisible. He scares both Olive and Bluto (mainly Bluto), and Bluto eventually runs out of Olive's house. Popeye reveals himself and Olive kisses him for saving her, getting red lipstick all over Popeye's face. Popeye turns to the audience and says, "Loves them ghosts."

Popeye The Sailor Man Intro Theme Song - Evergreen Cartoon Series of 1990s

01:00
Popeye the sailor man theme song which we loved to watch as kids. He used to eat spinach and hit Bluto/Brutus who was the all time favorite villain of his time. Olive, love interest of Popeye was funny with her crooked figure and body, but was sweet. Watch more cartoons that you loved here - http://bit.ly/top-cartoons-of-90s When Popeye the sailor man eats spinach, he gets tremendous power using which he can kick his enemies away. This encouraged many kids to actually start eating spinach even if they did not like it earlier. Yeah yeah, me too! Though there are many compilation on the internet regarding Popeye Cartoon episodes and other funny moments with Olive and Brutus, This theme song is my personal favourite among all other cartoons.
