China Style Small Business

08:11
In China owning your own business is as common as getting a job. The sheer number of ma and pa operations is staggering. Each individual business sells a specific set of goods and because there are so many people in China this system seems to work. In the west if you tried this you wouldn't fare very good as there just aren't enough people to make a go of it. The west is mostly big box stores but in China the small stores are the dominant sellers. They have a lower over head and thus lower prices. It's hard to compete with them on price. The new China high end malls are only for the brand name companies so if you want to get brand name you have to shop at the big boy stores in China. Watch as I walk around some random areas of Nanning and take video of some of the little shops and the goods they are selling. You may be interested in one back street I was walking down but turned around because...well take a look at the video it's an interesting one.

sneakers are one of my favourite things in the world. Jordans and designer mainly but every brand has its own style and purpose for fashion or sports. I DO NOT CONDONE the production sale or purchasing of fake shoes, clothing, accessories etc but I do enjoy seeing many models and styles all in one place. Here in China the fashion and culture is a bit different and I make these videos as an educational and informative tool so people can see what it is like over here. Knockoff Streetwear market Guangzhou China, Hypebeast fashion Supreme Bape Fog ASSC offwhite palace

39:22
The market here in Guangzhou China has so much streetwear it blows my mind. I DO NOT CONDONE THE PRODUCTION OR SALE OF KNOCKOFF, FAKE, Goods as that would be supporting the black market and taking away from the designer. I however do enjoy seeing brands such as supreme, bape, fear of god, anti social social club, off white, palace, vetements and many other hypebeast brands as the art work and style is interesting. Please do not ask for me to buy you some thing as I do not export and I can not give out the address as it is against youtubes policies. These market videos are for entertainment and educational purposes and show a part of every day like in Guangzhou China and how the fashion is over here. head to toe clothing and sneakers every one over here has a different style and it changes from province to province. beijing to shanghai to shenzhen and also changes each asian country such as thailand, philippines, japan and korea. These items are even making their way around the world to places such as russia and sadly north america.

21:54
INSANE Chinese Seafood FEAST in Guangzhou! We found the most CRAZY Chinese Seafood in Guangzhou. This Chinese seafood restaurant is like a huge seafood Aquarium! There is so much EXOTIC Chinese seafood here! This is like upgraded Chinese street food! GIANT Seafood HEAVEN! If you're wanting to eat seafood in Guangzhou, you can come to Guangzhou HongXing restaurant. It has the most INSANE selection of Chinese seafood from around the world, all picked up daily from the local fish market! They have every type of seafood you can order it in a huge variety of different cooking styles. When you walk into hongxing seafood restaurant, you immediately feel like you're walking into a seafood heaven. This is different from our regular Chinese street food videos, this is a Chinese seafood feast video! And today we are featuring all cantonese style cooking, one of the 8 main specialties of Chinese cuisine! This is less spicy than Sichuan food, this is much more elegant and refined and clear style, very delicious! When you walk in, you'll see hundreds of different fish tanks full of so many different types of seafood to choose from. You'll see at least 2 aisles full of lobster from around the world. Australian lobster, Boston lobster, and more. And you'll also find aisles full of different crabs from around the world. The biggest ones are the Alaskan king prawns. You can order these steamed or boiled and covered in a garlic sauce. The crab legs are full of flesh! Super tasty! This is Chinese style seafood mukbang! This is way better than a regular seafood boil! You'll also find rows of different clams, mussels, abalone, oysters, and more exotic things too. There is water beetles, snakes, and also classic Cantonese stir fry dishes too. You can eat dim sum, fried noodles, and cantonese desserts too! Shopping at the supermarket in China!

07:15
Going to the supermarket in China can seem like a daunting prospect. The items are different, the layout is different, there's an aquarium! Yet Chinese supermarkets have much more in common with those in the west. This video breaks it all down! Visit https://www.yorkenglishcareers.com/ to find out how to teach English in China. New and modern supermarkets are dotted all over Fuzhou. There has been a move away from local markets, to big supermarkets that act as a one-stop-shop. Amy and Rob show us around their local, and share some of the differences that most westerners will come across in a Chinese supermarket. Straight away you will notice that the energy seems to crank up as you walk in. Lots of people, lots of noise, and lots to grab your attention. The best tactic is to just breathe, take your time, and go through methodically, until you are more familiar with the store. Many people are doing hit jobs, getting food for that days' meals, as quickly as they can. Don't let that faze you, just go about your business in a leisurely manner, and soak it all in. Often supermarkets a multi-storied. Fruits, vegetables, meats and frozen goods are on the first floor. This is also where you will likely find a bakery, cooked food, and the check-outs. Up stairs contains pretty much everything else you can think of. Breakfast foods, condiments, all the snacks, and even clothing can be found. This style of supermarket truly has just about anything you could think of. One thing to keep in mind is that the process of buying fruits and vegetables can be slightly different. In China, often you first need to bag and weigh your goods at a pricing station, before taking them to the checkout. Each seperate good has a barcode slapped on it, so as to simply be scanned and bagged at the checkout. Don't forget, because there is a special kind of pain to be felt, as you reach the front of the checkout, and remember you skipped this step... You will also notice what looks to be an aquarium...where instead of pets, you can choose the freshest supper-time fish! It might seem distressing at first. Live frogs, fish, crustaceans, and more can be found. In the world of pre-packed meats, its easy to forget where all our foods come from. China has no problem putting that tasty reality on display! To be fair, there isn't much else that's different. You wont find all the same food items from back home, but that is to be expected. Part of the fun of living in china is trying new foods, or hunting down exported goods for when the cravings hit. China now has most of anything you could want, you sometimes just have to pay a bit extra to get it! Looking for a change? Want to live an amazing lifestyle while traveling the world? York English have jobs available all year round! We make the process of working in China stress-free. We will assist with all the paperwork, and help you with your journey from the moment you apply. Hong Kong Tattoo Legend: VICE INTL (China)

15:01
With his traditional Chinese/Japanese patterns, Jimmy Ho, now in his sixties, remains one of the coolest and most forward thinking tattooists in Hong Kong. James Ho, Jimmy’s father, is widely recognized as Hong Kong’s very first local tattoo artist as he started inking foreign sailors as early as 1960s so if anything, Jimmy learnt everything from his old man. Jimmy opened his first tattoo shop at the age of 14, followed by more than 40 years serving clients including film stars and local gangsters. We visited his shop in Portland Street, Mong Kok, to talk to the veteran about his glorious career and “the golden age of Hong Kong tattoo”, while getting a koi fish tattoo on ourselves. China AP Market Shanghai

45:46
An in Depth look at the AP Shanghai Market. This shows interactions with the workers and the bartering that can go down here. Bags and watches were mostly left out as we were asked not to film these. This video will give you a good idea of what to expect when coming to this market. In all honesty, this market was one of the best in China. The bartering monsters come out.... Prices: you may or may not get the same as us underarmour t shirts 40-50 RMB underarmour long sleeve 60 RMB Adidas ultra boost 180RMB Adidas boost 150RMB most shoes should be around 150-200RMB regular t shirts 30-50 RMB mens sweat pants 100RMB superdry jacket 200 RMB Canada goose jacket womens long 350 RMB some tea 35 RMB Bose Bluetooth headphones 80-100RMB Apple watch 100RMB Supreme hat 50-80RMB Stussy beanie 30-50 RMB Sunglasses 50 RMB that's all I can remember for now. If you are not getting the price you want, then there is another store with the exact same stuff around the corner. Also leaving and coming back works as well. Good luck and I would say that everyone has a different style to bartering. I would typically pay a couple dollars more than my friend as he was able to stick to his original pricing. I would cave in and pay the extra couple bucks. All in all, I'm home now and wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

Chinese Street Food DAN DAN NOODLE Tour in Sichuan, China | INSANELY GOOD and SPICY Szechuan Noodles

16:40
One of the best Chinese street foods you will ever eat in China is the Dan Dan Noodles! Spicy Chinese Dan Dan noodles are the best street food in China! If you love spicy Sichuan food and street food in China, then you're going to love Dan Dan noodles, because they are so flavorful and covered in a rich chili oil! In this Chinese street food video, we're bringing you on a full on Dan Dan noodle tour of Chengdu, China, DEEP in the heart of Sichuan in Southwest China. This is the land of delicious and spicy Sichuan cuisine, sometimes spelled Szechuan cuisine. There are so many famous Sichuan foods to try here in Chengdu, but today, we are trying 4 different variations of Dan Dan noodles, also sometimes called Zajiang noodles. MY GEAR AND RESOURCES + MERCH ► New Camera (AWESOME 4K) : https://amzn.to/2MnyBsg ► Main Lens: https://amzn.to/2MjnuAr ► Great Second Lens (FOR CLOSEUPS): https://amzn.to/2ntJvhG ► Favourite Telephoto: https://amzn.to/2vy3lwU ► Take everywhere cam: https://amzn.to/2P0b2Eb ► Action Cam (WATERPROOF) https://amzn.to/2Macjec ► Audio Setup (GREAT for clear voice): https://amzn.to/2MgzYJc ► Memory Card (for 4K footage): https://amzn.to/2OZrOTO ► Editing Computer (SUPER FAST): https://amzn.to/2M9nIuD ► Main External Hard Drive: https://amzn.to/2OXr4P3 ► Main SSD Hard Drive: https://amzn.to/2OZOyTS ► How I Access The Internet ANYWHERE: https://amzn.to/2vv0TY3 ► MUSIC I USE (Great For YouTubers): http://bit.ly/FoodRangerMusic ►BEST VPN FOR CHINA (ACCESS YOUTUBE): http://bit.ly/AccessYouTubeinChina ► MERCH AVAILABLE HERE: https://shop.bonfire.com/thefoodranger/ China has so many amazing street foods to try, and I've been filming and documenting them for you for the past 4 years. In my opinion, the best noodle dish in China is dan dan noodles, right here in Chengdu, Sichuan. China has some of the best street food around the world, and these dan dan noodles were INSANELY GOOD, some of the best noodles in China for sure! If you're traveling to China to eat and try different street foods, and perhaps want to learn a little bit about Chinese food and chinese cooking in the process, you need to try a few different variations of Dan Dan noodles. When they prepare the traditional Chinese dan dan noodle recipe right on the street, you can watch as they scoop the main ingredients like chili oil, soy sauce, sichuan peppercorn, and garlic right into the noodle bowl and then place the steaming hot noodles right over top. It's truly satisfying! After they put the noodles over top, they place their signature fried ground pork on top, known in Chinese as shaozi. When your dan dan noodles arrive to your table, it is very important to mix up all the chili oil and all of the ingredients throughout. This ensures that the flavour and the hot oil gets coated onto each noodle before you take a bite. It's also quite satisfying mixing the noodles and watching the dark red oil slowly turn each noodle from white into red and silky smooth. When you take your first bite, you'll understand why this is one of the BEST Chinese street foods you need to try. The spicy noodles are coated with an incredibly aromatic chili oil and really send you straight up to heaven! It's one of the best forms of Chinese cooking! If you are traveling to china and want to find these famous Dan dan noodles, here are the addresses: 1) Dawanmian, AKA big noodle bowl: Restaurant name: 大碗面店 Address: 成都市过街楼街26-6号 2) Deep alleyway dan dan noodles: Restaurant name: 十五栋面店 Address: 成都市西体路7号 3) Street side dan dan noodles in the north of Chengdu: Address: 成都市星辉中路城隍庙街城隍面馆 My neighbourhood noodle joint outside of Chengdu, China 4)Restaurant name: 恋味老面馆 Address: 成都市龙泉驿区龙平路427号 ABOUT THE FOOD RANGER ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My name is Trevor James and I'm a hungry traveler and Mandarin learner that's currently living in Chengdu, Szechuan, China, eating up as much delicious . China ultimate fake: IKEA lookalike store at China - 02Aug2011

01:53
It has the same blue and yellow colour scheme, the same miniature pencils, the same shopping bags - but don't be fooled, this IKEA store is only a lookalike The imitation store - called 11 Furniture - is a four-storey building in the southern district of Kunming city in south-west China. The store looks and feels the same as IKEA, with the same mock-up rooms, layout and even rocking chair designs but it sells its own furniture made to order instead of IKEA flat-packed products. The shop covers a huge 10,000 sq m and even has a cafeteria-style restaurant, complete with minimalist wooden tables, although the menu features Chinese-style braised minced pork and eggs instead of IKEA's Swedish meatballs. The retailer is cashing in on replicating the brand experience rather than faking the product itself. This copycat store is characteristic of a new trend in China. Last month, an American blogger posted pictures of an elaborate fake Apple Store in Kunming, selling genuine if unauthorised iPhones, Macbooks and other products. However Paul French, the founder of the consulting firm, Access Asia, says no one should be surprised. He said: "It's nothing new, it's been going on for 25 years. Just about every foreign brand that has ever come here has been faked. "What we are seeing with the Apple and the IKEA stores is that they are 'lookie-likies', they are not actually fakes." The presence of the imitation stores in Kunming highlights China's appetite for western brands. IKEA said it has teams working at both the country and global level to handle intellectual property protection issues. "IKEA as one of the biggest home furnishing companies in the world, protecting Ikea's intellectual property rights is crucial," said Ikea China. It has nine stores in China - and plans to open one to two more stores a year. Chinese law prohibits firms from copying the "look and feel" of other companies' stores, but foreign companies must register their trademarks with China and enforcement can be lax. The United States and other Western countries have often complained China is woefully behind in its effort to stamp out intellectual property theft.

Unheard of Chinese Street Food You MUST Try | Farmers Market in China 2.5

10:06
FOOD RANGER MERCH NOW AVAILABLE! http://bit.ly/FOODRANGER Follow me on Insta: http://bit.ly/2c5ojch And subscribe to my channel here: http://bit.ly/2cCy2ub I visited this local market near the outskirts of Chengdu, Sichuan, China, and found Chinese street food and the atmosphere to be mind blowing and exciting! It was truly an experience visiting this Chinese street market! So much food and Sichuan ingredients, so many flavours to try! These are the outtakes from the second Unheard of Chinese Street Food you Must try. Part 1: https://youtu.be/OXIe9u-i8JQ Part 2: https://youtu.be/vbfvkyuGP9w I visited this morning market on a Sunday morning in Chengdu at 8am with an empty stomach and money to blow with the goal of tasting cheap street foods and chatting with as many locals as possible. This is a true China experience. It was so busy, with so many people, so many things to buy and look at, tons of vegetables, meat, live chickens, live hens, live roosters, everything you could want really. Fresh handmade noodles, fresh Sichuan cold "liangbancai", and a huge meat market deli area with hanging pork and beef to choose from. All of the locals were friendly and talkative, although a bit surprised to see a foreigner walking through the area! If you're visiting China as a tourist, you'll definitely want to take a walk through a busy morning market like this trying fresh and cheap street food. There are countless street foods to try and people to chat to (If you speak a little mandarin). This market was mind blowing! Rather than trying hot pot in Chengdu or hot pot in Chongqing, you could try some way cooler food in Chengdu at local market like this. This should be a top priority in my opinion! Chinese cuisine is so diverse, and I consider myself lucky to be able to live in Sichuan, eating Sichuan food everyday, tasting all the top Chinese foods to try whenever I want. I've decided to stay living in China for at least another 2 or 3 years to get the feel of it and eat as much as I can! Extreme Chinese Street Food - JACUZZI CHICKEN and Market Tour in Kunming! | Yunnan, China Day 4

29:35
This Day 4 of this 4-part video Chinese food tour of Yunnan. Watch it all here: https://goo.gl/QhiJUb ►SUBSCRIBE for 2 new videos per week: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►T-shirts available now: https://migrationology.com/store/ Thanks to Frank and Jerry of Zouba Tours: http://www.zoubatours.com/ for taking me around. I paid for this tour, but they did a great job and I would recommend them. Kunming, Yunnan, China - Kunming is the capital and largest city in Yunnan province China. So I was excited to explore the local market in Kunming and eat as much street food as possible! Here are all the Chinese street food dishes we ate throughout the market: Rice pudding - 5 RMB ($0.76) - This was slightly fermented, and sweet, like a rice alcohol pudding. It was pretty good, but quite sweet, so I couldn’t eat that much of it. Dumpling - 1 RMB ($0.15) - I saw these dumplings sizzling and hissing and there was no way I could walk by without trying one. Stuffed inside were leek and egg. They were a little on the oily side, but delicious. Whole duck - 20 RMB ($3.03) - Yunnan is famous for roast duck, and there’s a version that’s comparable even to Beijing style. Style I was excited to find a stall that at the market that specialize in Yunnanese roast duck. It was delicious and the owners were very friendly as well. Pickled pears - 5 RMB ($0.76) - This was an interesting snack, and supposed to be very healthy and good for digestion. Drink - 2 RMB ($0.30) - This drink was incredible sweet, but refreshing. Tofu Noodles - 5.5 RMB ($0.83) - Another extremely popular Chinese street food snack at the market was tofu noodles - I’ve had tofu and noodles, but not really mixed before. It was a little plain and starchy, but from all the sauces, it was taty. Rice balls - 5 RMB ($0.76) - We also tried sesame rice balls which were delicious. Jacuzzi braised ½ chicken - 15 RMB ($2.27) - This was one of the highlights of the market for me, mainly because the owner was so friendly and his giant jacuzzi of boiling chickens was amazing to see! The chicken was a little bony, but flavorful. Yellow soybean porridge - 3.5 RMB ($0.53) - As we were leaving the market, we stopped for one last bowl of soybean porridge to eat with youtiau, Chinese donuts. I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I did, but it was delicious. It was very warming and hearty. Finally to complete this Chinese street food tour in Kunming, Jerry and I, along with his family ate Chinese Yunnanese bbq. It was tasty and a great way to end this amazing day of street food. Special thanks to Zouba Tours (http://www.zoubatours.com/) for arranging everything in this video. I paid for this tour, but I think they did a great job, and I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the tour. That completes Day 4 of this Chinese food tour of Yunnan. Shop 'Til You Drop in Shenzhen, China

03:10
http://www.TravelsWithSheila.com The biggest discount, fake, "knock-off" shopping center in Shenzhen is Lowu Commercial City, abbreviated to LCC by those in the know. Five floors are packed with hundreds of stores on each level and it took us three hours to thoroughly cover two levels. Shenzhen has border train, bus and ferry connections with Hong Kong and this is where Hong Kong locals come to shop; prices are substantially lower than in their city. If, for example, you are looking for a handbag and the 100+ on shelves in this store isn't sufficient, they will hand over umpteen (thick) catalogs with every style made by a manufacturer, e.g., Gucci. Point, they telephone a runner, you sit and wait for around 10 minutes, runner returns with a huge Santa Claus style bag and dumps at least five versions of that style on the floor. Don't like? Go through procedure again or move along. Decide, bargain hard and, perhaps, buy. I almost had a nervous breakdown...

In my previous street food tour videos of Chengdu, China, we’ve brought you to hundreds of delicious street food locations. We’ve shot hundreds of Chinese street food tour videos. You’ve watched us eat CRAZY Chinese street food like GIANT LOBSTERS and HUGE KING CRABS, massive bowls of dan dan noodles and more, but today, we’re upgrading and going ALL OUT for a $300 per person splurge at Chengdu’s best restaurant; Yuzhilan, owned by the best Sichuan chef in China, mr Lan. Chef Lan has been working his craft and cooking the best Szechuan cuisine in China for over 35 years, and today, he’s bringing us in to his home kitchen to see how he makes some very special dishes. He is sharing with us his philosophy of cooking and his deep love for Sichuan cuisine, sharing his personal story of learning how to cook Sichuan food and how he has traveled the world to study how to cook. After living in Japan for 2 years and studying in London, he has spend his life perfecting the art of Sichuan cuisine, using only the best local ingredients to bring out the natural flavour in everything he prepares. As soon as we walked into his kitchen, Chef Lan showed us how he prepared his abalone. He explained to us the significance of Abalone in Hong Kong and Guangdong cuisine and how he has used 4 different styles of cooking abalone to bring into his own Sichuan style. It was amazing to watch the stock bubbling and the soft abalone simmering away. After this, Chef lan showed us the AMAZING Kung Lao LOBSTER! A dish he is proud of and worked hard to master, the kung pao lobster was amazing to witness. It was spicy and sweet and served cold with a bowl of guaiweimian AKA cold “strange flavour” noodles. As the lobster was being plated, Chef Lan brought us into his main noodle preparation area, where he uses a MASSIVE blade to hand cut the THINNEST noodles in the WORLD! This was so incredible to watch! Just like watching a taiqi master practice his moves, watching Chef Lan cut the noodles was an unforgettable experience! After he cut the noodles, Chef Lan showed us how each noodle could fit through the thread of a needle! And then it was time to eat this AMAZING Sichuan food! Luxury Sichuan food at it’s finest! There were over 20+ items on the menu, all cooked in Sichuan style yet upgraded flavour wise because all the ingredients were so premium! Chef Lan’s personal philosophy in cooking Sichuan food is to use the best ingredients and to allow them to do the talking and use the sauces only to lightly touch and improve the flavour. We could see that is true on his huge Sichuan food menu: Some of the crazy LUXURY Sichuan foods we ate were: Hot Pot Chicken, chinese Matsutake mushrooms with chinese yam and soup, SUPERIOR Abalone, Hot and Sour DEEP Sea cucumber, Chinese bird’s nest soup, Yuxiang Style Eggplant and Yuxiang style eel, Sichuan dry style rabbit with Sichuan pepper and fermented soya bean, KUNG PAO Lobster, Sichuan Caviar, and more!! Make sure to enjoy this entire video until the end because there was SO MUCH INSANE LUXURY Sichuan food you’re going to love! The exact recipe is shown below, the local Sichuan local chef told me, as found in Chengdu, true Chinese food! www.facebook.com/foodrangin For the wok: 2 boneless high quality chicken breasts 20 grams of garlic and ginger (about 5 cloves and an equivalent amount of ginger) 3 Chinese onions, chop about 30 grams worth 20 kernels of Sichuan peppercorn Around 20 grams of chopped dried chilies, preferably Sichuan variety (at least 10 individual chilies, seeds removed) Roasted peanuts, the more the better, according to what you like For the marinade, he made it without giving exact amounts, but approximately use this: 2 pinches of salt 1 pinch of white pepper powder 1 pinch of chicken bouillon powder ~1 tablespoon dark soy sauce ~1 tablespoon rice cooking wine, you can use Shoaxing rice wine or regular cooking wine. In chinese it's 料酒, liaojiu 1 egg white 1 large pinch of cornstarch For the sauce: 5 grams salt, 1 teaspoon 10 grams MSG, 2 teaspoons (OPTIONAL, not recommended) 10 grams chicken bouillon powder, 2 teaspoons 4 or 5 teaspoons of sugar 10 or 20 ml black vinegar, depending on how sweet you like it 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce Wet corn starch, 2 tablespoons, you can use cornstarch and water. and then add a little more water to the sauce I found this local Chengdu restaurant right on the street offering all the classic Sichuan food, and asked the chef to show me how to cook his local Kung Pao Chicken. This is not a Chinese street food, this is Chinese "jiachangcai", home cooked food. The flavour was spicy, numbing, and sweet, and the chicken was really tender and soft.
