This documentary highlights the role of the behind the scenes Fashion Editors at Vogue US. Of course, Grace Coddington, is known more widely but many of the others shown are the anonymous creatives behind many of Vogue's iconic front covers.
The Editors are the interface between the technicians - the photographers (Liebovitz and Irving Penn being just two) - and ultimately the business end, Anna Wintour. The film gives an insight into the journey through the various eras of fashion and how it serves as a reflection of what is going on in society. Although it is often hard to reconcile whether it is life imitating art or art imitating life.
But essentially it is style that persists. In the iconic words of one of its most colourful editors, Carlyne Cerf de Dudzweele: "Style is not a season. Nothing is ever demode if it is a good piece. Nothing, nothing, nothing."
