After thinking for few weeks, I and my team decide to build an amazing treehouse as the requests from our fans. This is the first treehouse that we just built and it is a little different from the other treehouse that I saw on youtube. It took almost three weeks to build this treehouse. In this video, I walk you through the 5 key principles to building muscle over 50, so use these principles along with our free resources to get started today! *Use Compound Exercises (1:25) The 5 key exercises to include in the best workouts for men over 50 are Squats, Deadlifts, Rows, Bench Press, and Military press. You may have done these exercises before, but here at the Fit Father Project, we show you how to tweak them to keep them safe for aging bodies. Incorporating these exercises into workouts for men over 50 can be done in a couple of ways. Firstly, you could do a full body workout that has you completing all 5 exercises 2-3 times per week, just like we show you in our free video (https://fitfatherproject.com/get-free-muscle-workout). This is because your metabolism lowers as you age and any excess in calories is more likely to be stored as additional body-fat. You need to prioritize a lean bulking nutrition plan to fuel your body for building muscle. What I mean by lean bulking is to have the optimum number of surplus calories above your TDEE (Total daily energy expenditure) to aid with building muscle. Primitive Technology: Tiled Roof Hut

I built this tiled roof hut in the bush using only primitive tools and materials. The tools I used have been made in my previous videos. It should be pointed out that I do not live in the wild and that this is just a hobby. It should be obvious to most that this is not a survival shelter but an experiment in primitive building technology. To cut and carve wood I used the celt stone axe and stone chisel made in this video. To carry water and make fire I used pots and fire sticks made in this video. Finally, to store fire wood and dry, unfired tiles, I used the wood shed built in this video. The wooden frame was built with a 2X2m floor plan and a 2m tall ridge line with 1m tall side walls. 6 posts were put into the ground 0.25 m deep. The 3 horizontal roof beams were attached to these using mortise and tenon joints carved with a stone chisel. The rest of the frame was lashed together with lawyer cane strips. The frame swayed a little when pushed so later triangular bracing was added to stop this. Also when the mud wall was built, it enveloped the posts and stopped them moving altogether. A small kiln was built of mud from the ground and a perforated floor of clay from the creek bank. It was only 25 cm internal diameter and 50 cm tall. Clay was dug, broken tiles (from previous batches) were crushed and added to it as grog and it was mixed thoroughly.This clay was pressed into rectangular moulds made from strips of lawyer cane to form tiles. Wood ash prevented the clay sticking to the stone. 20 tiles were fired at a time. 450 flat tiles and 15 curved ridge tiles were made with only a few breakages. 26 firings were done in all and the average firing took about 4 hours. The fired tiles were then hooked over the horizontal roof battens. An underfloor heating system was built into one side of the hut to act as a sitting/sleeping platform in cold weather. This was inspired by the Korean Ondol or “hot stone”. A trench was dug and covered with flat stones with a firebox at one end and a chimney at the other for draft. The flames travelled beneath the floor heating it. After firing it for a while the stones stay warm all night with heat conducted directly to the sleeping occupant and radiating into the room. The wall was made of clayey mud and stone. A stone footing was laid down and over this a wall of mud was built. To save on mud, stones were included into later wall courses. The mud was dug from a pit in front of the hut and left a large hole with a volume of about 2.5 cubic metres. The finished hut has a swinging door made of sticks. The inside is dark so I made a torch from tree resin. A broken tile with resin on it acts as a small lamp producing a lot of light and little smoke. The end product was a solid little hut, that should be fire and rot resistant. The whole project took 102 days but would have taken 66 days were it not for unseasonal rain. In this video, I’m going to give you a muscle building 101 course on the most important things you need to focus on when it comes to building bigger muscles and achieving muscle hypertrophy. No gimmicks or phony shortcuts needed here. Just pure muscle building science to help you get over the hump and start packing some size on your frame. To get you started, it is important to understand that everything comes down to just one concept and that is the intensity of your training. Now I don’t just mean how psyched up you are to tackle your next workout. I mean, in addition to that, how intensely focused are you on achieving your goal? If you are as much as you say you are, then you will realize that there are many things that need to be addressed outside of just showing up to the gym and trying hard. It starts with a plan. No successful lifter has ever built appreciable amounts of muscle size without having a plan for getting there. I’m not just talking about knowing what you are going to do in the gym that day (although that would be a great start)! I’m talking about knowing how this workout is going to impact the next one and the next one after that. With a goal in mind you need to have a map for getting to your goal and it starts with knowing what steps you are going to take from one workout to the next. With that in mind, it is now time to actually start lifting the weights. From here, the intensity that I hinted at in the beginning becomes crucial. Are you simply counting to 10 or 12 or are you pushing with every bit of effort with the rep count secondary? I hope it’s the latter. When it comes to training for more muscle size you need to realize that your effort will dictate everything. Overload is critical. The use of compound lifts to build up a strength base is a must in order to set the stage for growth. Your use of other techniques (like volume training) should still equate to an overall overload if the end goal is to get bigger. This is where many people fall off the path. There is simply no way around hard work when you are trying to build muscle. Which leads us to the next point and that is, once your set is done what are you doing with your time. If you sit around and let far too much time pass between sets then you are dramatically decreasing the effectiveness of the workout. Rest times should be prescriptive and serve to keep your muscles stressed for the entire workout. They should not be looked at as times to jump on social media and take you out of the frame of mind necessary for building muscle. In fact, some people ease into their rest periods too quickly. I believe that the use of some sort of set intensifying technique (like drop sets, forced reps, negatives, super sets, etc) is a great way to ensure that you tap into the reserves that your body was likely hanging onto that your mind was unwilling to let go. If you want to achieve greater muscle size you are going to need to interrupt that thought pattern and train harder. I always say, you can train hard or you can train long but you can’t do both. Finally, every natural lifter knows that the only way to build bigger muscles is to allow your body to recover between workouts. This simply can’t happen if you aren’t prioritizing it. In fact, I would say that even if you get everything else right up to this point, if you screw this up, you will blow all opportunities to grow as big as possible. A study was undertaken at The University Oklahoma and published in the Journal of Strength And Conditioning Research comparing the muscle gains of 24 college-aged guys (18-22) to 25 so-called middle-aged men (35-50). Both these groups followed the same weightlifting routine for eight weeks. It turns out that not only did the guys over 35 build just as much muscle, they actually had slightly greater gains. 8 Principles To Building The Ultimate Test Boosting Workout For Men Over 40 From this, I’ve created some guiding principles to developing the ultimate testosterone boosting workout. These include: 1. Make it a total body workout. You want to do three total body workouts per week, hitting the entire body every session. 2. Add resistance. This is key. If you don’t add some type of external weight, the chances of you boosting testosterone will be low. As great as I think bodyweight exercises can be at times, they are not ideal in this situation. 3. Move from exercise to exercise quickly. This will help you boost your metabolism so that you can burn more energy for up to 24 hours after the workout session is completed. 4. Use multi-joint and compound exercises. These are the moves that will work the greatest number of muscles at once and help you get in and out of the gym quickly. They’re also the best exercises for helping you gain larger amounts of strength as well. 5. Use Circuit Training Wisely. Use circuits, moving from one exercise to the next so that your workouts never last longer than 20-30 minutes in length. You should never be resting more than one minute between sets during a given workout. 6. Keep equipment to a minimum. There’s no need for fancy machines. All you need is a simple set of dumbbells to get the job done correctly. 7. Allow for 48 hours of rest between each workout. Remember that your body doesn’t recover as well as it used to so leave that extra time for recovery. This will ensure that you are never verging on overtraining – and a decrease in testosterone. On these rest days, feel free to add yoga or another low impact activity. 8. Vary your exercises. Keep things interesting by changing your exercises around from week to week. Not only will this prevent workout related boredom, but it’ll also ensure that your body keeps responding to the work that you are doing. Recent studies have demonstrated that consuming eggs DOES NOT INCREASE cholesterol levels, and does not encourage heart problems. Additionally, they are filled with B, D and E-group vitamins, plus minerals such as phosphorus, zinc and iron. All these keep your body in optimal state so that it can grow muscle. For a protein-packed meal, I recommend having them cooked, such as boiled or in an omelet. There are many different recipes and ways of cooking eggs; it is ok if you use only the ones you like best. 3) Walnuts and other nuts: Walnuts are high in polyunsaturated fats, which help reduce cholesterol and prevent heart disease. If you are skinny and you find it hard to gain weight, small portions of nuts add A LOT of calories. Their great flavor make them ideal for consuming in shakes. Another advantage of nuts is that you can easily take them anywhere, and have them always at hand as "food reserve". Try switching cookies for these little ones, and you'll see they are as powerful as they are delicious. 4) Fish: Fish is loaded with Omega 3 fatty acids which, among other properties, help the nervous system to recover and are anti-inflammatory. It also supplies the body with many high biological value proteins and abundant vitamins and minerals. Thanks to its incredible nutrients, fish helps fight off diseases and helps the body to recover after intense workouts. 5) Beef: Rich in proteins, vitamins and minerals (such as zinc and iron), beef provides some excellent 0.1 oz of Creatine per pound; amazing rate for muscle recovery and to increase strength. Kristie Wolfe builds underground home & sets rural WA hamlet

Inspired by the success of the Hawaii treehouse she built for $11,000, Kristie Wolfe began searching for land to build a “Hobbit”-inspired village. Knowing that there is land to be found for cheap in this country (she bought her Hawaii property for $8000), she began to search the Northwest for sites. https://faircompanies.com/videos/building-your-own-hawaii-minimal-house-for-a-vacations-cost/ “There’s a lot of land everywhere, if you look on craigslist, if you look on zillow, you can find property so it’s not really that there’s not a lot. The issue is with property that’s in my price range- I’m looking for property that’s $10,000 to 20,000- usually there’s a reason why it’s cheap, it’s either an easement problem or you have to drive through a crappy neighborhood… but if you’re wanting to be off-grid, it opens up a whole world of selections, there’s a ton out there.” Wolfe paid $18,000 for 5 acres on a hillside above Lake Chelan, Washington. Being a couple miles down a dirt road, there was no option to be on the grid so Wolfe put in a solar panel, septic and a water tank (filled by truck for now) and began to dig the first of her underground homes. At 288 square feet, Wolfe’s “tiny house in the shire” was over the maximum square footage allowed for an un-permitted build so she went to the county for approval. With only hand-sketched plans on graph paper, she was able to get a permit. The structure went up in a few days “with a lot of help from family and friends” and it was “wrapped and roofed” in a few weeks and then Wolfe finished the interior on her own. Inspired by the “Hobbit” books, films and cartoon (from 1977), Wolfe wanted to recreate the cozy feel of a hobbit hole. "Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole and that meant comfort." Rather than buying expensive custom details, Wolfe got creative. She used the top of an old cable spool - scavenged for free long before the build- as a round door. To create round windows, she hid secondhand ($10) square windows behind repurposed circular mirror frames. For a very unique cordwood floor, she cut scraps of wood (found beside the road and old firewood) into into one-inch-thick pieces glued down with a heavy construction adhesive and grouted by hand (again thanks much help to friends and family). Wolfe has broken ground on the 2nd and 3rd hillside homes. She doesn't plan to change much of her design except to make the windows larger. The completed “village” will include an above-ground communal kitchen built to look like a thatched-roof English-style pub.
