We're keen to get the industry to look beyond lowering their environmental impact and aim to contribute positively to nature and communities. We asked all our seminar panelists at the 8th Future Fabrics Expo: "How can fashion positively impact planet and people?"
Fabrizio Tesi, owner of Comistra SRL, provides us with his insight.
Comistra SRL is a textile manufacturer that recycles and regenerates textile waste and by-products into yarns and fabrics. Underpinned by a sustainability philosophy they call “rigenius”, the company not only applies circular economy practices to their textile processes but also to their production facilities in Montemurlo, Italy. Comistra is a member of the Italian Textile and Recycling Assocation AS.T.R.I., who has recovered 22,000 tonnes of used textiles. Comistra is certified by the Global Recycled Standard (GRS).
The Sustainable Angle is a not-for-profit organisation which initiates and supports projects which contribute to minimizing the environmental impact of industry and society.
