Review of "THE WEEK" Magazine, Best Magazine Ever
I scan the headlines so you don't have to. Let's talk about the hot mess named Kim Davis (or is that Dick Cheney in a wig), Hungary getting a 'not cool dude' in the refugee game, and just a bunch of other stuff. Like don't eat that doughnut because you may forget to not eat the doughnut. I hate circular logic games. This weeks covers Kim Davis, The Christian Right, Dick Cheney in a wig, the hypocrisy of upholding the sanctity of marriage coming from a woman who has been married 4 times. Go get em' girl. Bristol Palin is doing a bang up (or should I say Knocked Up job) as the Abstinence Ambassador for the Candie's foundation. I hope they make her give that $262,000 dollar pay check back. The refugee crisis is not so pretty (cue mascara running down face). Germany is on hand with a big box of tissues for about 800,000 refugees while Hungary is playing a game of 'not it' and refusing to get in the sand box. Scientists, not cops, have revealed that obesity leads to Alzheimers. In other science news, obesity leads to Alzheimers. I read the other day something about doughnuts and forgetting things..... "The Walk in the Woods" movie starring Robert Redford (the original McDreamy) is about as exciting as the title so I"m going to give that a hard pass, but nicely of course because I have manners dammit! And SPOILER alert, I LOVE HORROR films and books and I want to vlog about them. Let me know which ones you want to talk about. Old, new, good, bad. And I'm jealous about these cool people that see numbers as colors and can actually feel the pain and emotions of others. It's called synesthesia. Here's the link. http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2015/09/18/doctor-feels-pain-synesthesia/ We will be reviewing the WEEK magazine every week so subscribe to the The New Stepford channel on YouTube. Barry Harrell's Major Tom Cover on popXport's Quiz Of The Week
Hi Everybody, Last week (May 29, 2015) PopXport, the excellent German Music Video Magazine, used my cover of Major Tom for their weekly PopXport music Quiz. It’s funny though because they mispronounced and misspelled my name! ha ha. But that is OK, they were as nice and professional as they could be. Anyway, I sure was surprised to be asked to participate in a show all the way over in Germany! And it was humbling too considering all of the great covers out there. I just sit and shake my head when I think of the amazing experiences I have had since starting my little YouTube channel (from being in a Gotye video and all of the amazing friends I have made – even wrote songs with!). OK, enough about that but I do want to tell you that the PopXport show is very good and I suggest that you check it out. They have some amazing musicians there in Germany (and believe me, they cover a wide range of music genres). I found one artist I really liked named Wellbad (see link below) and was very entertained by others. Seriously, check out an episode: http://www.dw.de/program/popxport/s-7855-9798 Wellbad – Judgement Day Official Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXoa0khN_-o I hope you enjoy the video clip I posted, Barry

Chinatown - Liam Gallagher • Cover of the Week • Brooks of Sheffield
This is our cover version of Chinatown by Liam Gallagher, released as the second single off of As You Were, his first solo album. Contrary to the uptempo rocker Wall Of Glass, Chinatown is a slow paced mellow song – the sound of the sun setting at the last day of your holiday. • Support us here • Patreon: http://bit.do/BoS_Patreon Spotify: http://bit.do/BoS_Spotify Facebook: http://bit.do/BoS_Facebook Twitter: http://bit.do/BoS_Twitter Instagram: http://bit.do/BoS_Instagram Souncloud: http://bit.do/BoS_Soundcloud • Download our first album "name your price": http://bit.do/BoS_Bandcamp • Buy 'Chinatown' by Liam Gallagher: http://amzn.to/2u7DbSJ • Buy 'As You Were' by Liam Gallagher: http://amzn.to/2tEwrZe • What we used to record this song: http://amzn.to/2tXkEYQ Lyrics: Well the cops are taking over While everyone's in yoga 'Cause happiness is still a warm gun What's it to be free man? What's a European? Me I just believe in the sun Take me down Through the streets of Chinatown Show me that you know some places God told me Live a life of luxury All our lives we've both been waiting Telephonic doses Eliminate neurosis And some say it's the cause of it all Concentrate on winning Forget about beginning Forget about the middle and end Take me down Through the streets of Chinatown Show me that you know some places God told me Live a life of luxury All our lives we've both been waiting Take me down Through the streets of Chinatown Show me that you know some places God told me Live a life of luxury All our lives we've both been waiting William John Paul "Liam" Gallagher (born 21 September 1972) is an English musician, singer, and songwriter. He rose to fame as the lead singer of the rock band Oasis, and later as the singer of Beady Eye, before performing as a solo artist after the dissolution of both previous bands. His erratic behaviour, distinctive singing style, and abrasive attitude have been the subject of commentary in the press; he remains one of the most recognisable figures in modern British music. On 26 July 2015 Gallagher appeared at an Irish pub in Charlestown, County Mayo playing a number of songs, including possibly new material, in front of pub guests with an acoustic guitar. However, on 4 January 2016, he said on Twitter that he has no plans to pursue a solo career, writing, "Solo record are you fucking tripping dickhead im not a cunt LG X." However, in a 2016 interview with Q Magazine, he officially announced he would be releasing songs in 2017 although he doesn't consider it a solo career, advising they're just songs that he has written over the years that he'd like to release. Gallagher made reference to the previously mentioned tweet, by stating "It's official I'm a cunt LG x" via Twitter. A solo appearance at Norwegian festival Bergenfest in 2017 was announced in November 2016, with other festival appearances for summer 2017 later confirmed. It was announced in March 2017 that the debut solo album was to be titled As You Were. On 26 May 2017 he announced the release of his solo debut single "Wall of Glass" on 1 June 2017, however it was released a day earlier on 31 May with an accompanying music video. In the same month, Gallagher performed his first solo concert at the The Ritz in Manchester with all proceeds going to victims of the Manchester terror attack. On 4 June 2017 Gallagher made a surprise appearance at the One Love Manchester benefit concert where he played "Rock 'N' Roll Star", "Wall of Glass" and "Live Forever" with Coldplay's Chris Martin and Jonny Buckland. Gallagher performed at Glastonbury in June 2017. During the set he sang "Don't Look Back in Anger" for the first time, dedicating his performance to the victims of the recent Manchester and London terror attacks and the Grenfell Tower fire. On 30 June 2017 he released his second solo single "Chinatown". WEEK 3 - First Cover Shoot | Refeed vs Cheatmeal | NEVER Eating Butterfish AGAIN!
Week 3 Vlog is up! I have about 9 weeks left till my second comp. Before that I just want to thank Women's Health Malaysia again for inviting me to be on the cover of their magazine. I also found out it would be their last issue for the Malaysian side. I'm saddened to hear the news cause Women's Health and Men's Health have been two of my fav magazines. But I wish the media company all the best :) Lots went on last and the week was a rediscovery about food. I learnt that I will never eat butterfish again - at least not in massive quantities, because it gave me "anal leakage"! Yes you heard me right, oil was coming out because my body wasn't able to absorb the fat nutrients. Most horrid experience and I'm telling you this because I don't want you to get a yellow stain next time, because you weren't aware bout how butterfish / white tuna / escalar can effect you. Its due to the fish eating Wax Esters which they can't metabolise properly, hence us humans would have digestive issues with it too. If possible, just don't eat that fish again. Second thing i learnt this week was on the difference of a refeed and a cheatmeal. I used to have my epic cheatmeals in my previous comp prep, every Sunday night. The difference- a refeed controls how much i'm eating and what kind of macro i'm increasing after maintaining a particular diet plan for about 2-3 weeks. Which helps better in the fat loss process and for those of us who are tracking macros through IIFYM - "If it Fits Your Macros". The cheatmeals may or may not work to my advantage as I've come to learn, at least while prepping for a comp. A day in the life by the beatles (cover) (beatles week day 2)
A day in the life by the beatles (cover) Performed by Sebby Woldt of The Eternal Dreamers https://www.facebook.com/TheEternalDreamers https://www.3dreamersrecords.com/ Star Wars - A New Baroque now on itunes! https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/star-wars-a-new-baroque/id1151963155 "A Day in the Life" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles that was released as the final track of their 1967 album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. Credited to Lennon–McCartney, it was written mainly by John Lennon, with Paul McCartney contributing the song's middle section. Lennon's lyrics were inspired by contemporary newspaper articles, including a report on the death of Guinness heir Tara Browne. The recording includes two passages of orchestral glissandos that were partly improvised in the avant-garde style. As with the sustained piano chord that closes the song, the orchestral passages were added after the Beatles had recorded the main rhythm track. A reputed drug reference in the line "I'd love to turn you on" resulted in the song initially being banned from broadcast by the BBC. Since its release on Sgt. Pepper, "A Day in the Life" has been issued as a B-side and also on various compilation albums. Jeff Beck, Barry Gibb and Phish are among the artists who have covered the song. Since 2008, McCartney has included the song in his live performances. It was ranked the 28th greatest song of all time by Rolling Stone. In another list, the magazine ranked it as the greatest Beatles song. John Lennon wrote the melody and most of the lyrics to the verses of "A Day in the Life" in mid January 1967.[4] Soon afterwards, he presented the song to Paul McCartney, who contributed a middle-eight section.[5] In a 1970 interview, Lennon discussed their collaboration on the song: Paul and I were definitely working together, especially on "A Day in the Life" that was a real ... The way we wrote a lot of the time: you'd write the good bit, the part that was easy, like "I read the news today" or whatever it was, then when you got stuck or whenever it got hard, instead of carrying on, you just drop it; then we would meet each other, and I would sing half, and he would be inspired to write the next bit and vice versa. He was a bit shy about it because I think he thought it's already a good song ... So we were doing it in his room with the piano. He said "Should we do this?" "Yeah, let's do that."[6] According to author Ian MacDonald, "A Day in the Life" was strongly informed by Lennon's LSD-inspired revelations, in that the song "concerned 'reality' only to the extent that this had been revealed by LSD to be largely in the eye of the beholder".[7] Beatles biographer Jonathon Gould writes that "of the many ambitious pop singles released during the fall of 1966, none had a stronger influence on the Beatles than the Beach Boys' 'Good Vibrations'".[8] In a 1968 editorial for Jazz & Pop, writer Gene Sculatti called the single the "ultimate in-studio production trip", adding that its influence was apparent in songs such as "A Day in the Life".[9][nb 1] Subscribe here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXfSpHhZjBMIbVzx38CMBkQ?sub_confirmation=1
