Gene Hackman anyone? His character in "Enemy of the State" transcends both good and bad. As far as his voice acting, Mark Hamill plays an incredible Joker in shows like "Batman: The animated series." But, I think James Earl Jones takes it. The voice of the most iconic villain in film. Yet he plays Jack Ryan's good friend, the seemingly creepy old guy in "The Sandlot."

Our opinions about who is number 1 or 2 must somehow be unbiased. This is difficult to achieve, I will admit. I believe however, that being able to act convincingly along with versatility is a measure of a great actress/actor. ....I'm just sayin'

I think this list is biased just because of the fact that 4 of these actor are in the same film, another 2 in the same film, another 2 in the same film, it kinda feels like you should watch more movies because you left out a LOT of iconic actors

Denzel is way better as the bad guy IMO. Edward Norton can def do both (American History X in 98 and Fight Club in 99, insanely different roles). Travolta played many roles, but i think the only one he really sunk into was Pulp Fiction. Sam Jackson is amazing but also id say is better as a bad guy. If only Cersei, Cranston and James Gandolfini could make this list. (I know, those are TV shows).
