i got this error :::: Cannot establish a connection to jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:orcl using oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver (ORA-01017: in can you suggest me any thing for this one
+aravinda Challa the problem is in his code... correct the line in javaconnect class :has mentioned below Class.forName(oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");

exelent tutorial. Where we can find sqlplus? when i add ojdbc to project directory and i try to connect with thin i come with a error Cannot establish a connection to jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:XE using oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver. Thanks again
+icsdvaggelis the problem is in his code... correct the line in javaconnect class :has mentioned below Class.forName(oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver"); i did it working fine for me.. :)

Thanks for your feedback vaggelis. The database used in this tutorial is Oracle 10g XE XE. XE stands for Express Edition and orcl stands for Enterprise Edition. You can download and install oracle database in your system. so that it will work well...!
